Full three-shot transformation reel, child-to-adult reveal.
What are we creating?
A 15-second, three-shot cinematic reel with zero camera movement and dramatic single-light framing. My younger self rises out of darkness into the light, looks around nervously, then locks eyes with the camera. The scene cuts wide to reveal both my younger and older selves standing apart in the dark — same light, same stillness, opposite ends of the frame.
The goal wasn't a random AI kid. I used my actual childhood photo, so the "opponent" is literally me.
Two ways to make the child character
The actual childhood photo used as the source/reference for the younger character. This is what makes the result feel personal instead of generic.
A clear character sheet of your adult self — front, back, and close-up angles. This is what Shot 2 and Shot 3 use to generate your older self facing the camera.
I fed my real childhood photo (yes, that's really me, in my actual Mickey Mouse outfit) into an image-to-video tool as the source/reference for the younger character. That's what makes it feel personal instead of generic.
If you don't have a childhood photo you want to use, you can also describe a generic young girl (age, height, features) and let the model generate the character from scratch — no real photo needed. Not quite as personal, but a good option if a real photo isn't available.
